The Peel Country Cricket Future Directions project has commenced, thanks to support from WA Cricket, Country Cricket Board and the DLGSC. Over the next six months the project will identify the current status of cricket and future opportunities, consider the regional boundaries and best governance structure and define the preferred pathways for player development. The overall aim of the project is to Grow the Game of Cricket in the region.
For this exciting project to be successful we need players, Clubs and Associations to work together to create great competitions, promote and support clear pathways and show cohesive leadership.

Independent and highly experienced community and sports consultants Kim Buttfield and Christine Grogan (who worked with the Great Southern Regional Cricket Board during 2019) are facilitating this ‘future directions’ project. The project is being overseen by the Peel Country Cricket Coordinating Group (PCCCG), who are interim care-takers in the absence of a Peel Cricket Board.

The PCCCG comprises
• Rebecca McLennan – President PJCA
• Peter Ritchie – Peel Delegate, Country Cricket Board
• Ben McCulloch – Rockingham Mandurah Cricket Club
• Terry Arnold – President PCA
• Orazio Santalucia – Independent
• Alan Singer – Area Manager WA Cricket
• Corey O’Brien – Cricket Manager, Peel Region
