7 Country Players selected in State Development Programs

WA Country Cricket has seven representatives named in the WA Under 17 and Under 19 State Development Squads announced by WA Cricket on 29th April 2022. Congratulations to the following players:


Under 19


Mahli Beardman Cricket North-West (Dampier)

Regan Hill Wheatbelt (Cunderdin)

Tyler King Cricket South-West (Bunbury)

Joshua Vernon Cricket North-West (Dampier)


Under 17


Bryn Bursill Cricket South-West (Bunbury)

Nico Le Roux Cricket South-West (Bunbury)

Wyatt Wilson Cricket North-West (Port Hedland)


The Under 19 National Championships are being held in Adelaide between 5th and 15th December 2022, followed by the Under 17 National Championships in Victoria between 9th and 19th January 2023. The squads will be reduced to 14 players prior to each competition.


The seven players selected have progressed through the WA Cricket Talent pathway getting their start in the U14 Regional Development Carnivals when aged between 11 and 13. These Country players have worked hard both at home and with their Premier Cricket clubs for this achievement and we wish them all the best of luck for final selection.
